Yes I have two early cars, a 1976 dark blue Ti which now has a 1.5 engine from an ARNA and the metalic green Ti. I plan to finish my 1989 1.7 Sprint Veloce before doing any serious work on either of the Ti,s, but its hard to keep my hands off them. The bonnet repair is the first work I have done on the green Ti since I bought it about 16 years ago ! So it was very satisfying to have at least made a start. I was getting very frustrated seeing all the work everyone else was doing but I should have more spare time now to get my cars on the road.
In the meantime I am still am running a 155 1.8TS 16v a 75 TS and a 156 2.4 Jtd 20v.
The green Ti has been ziebarted and even though I was welding with a series of tacks, to prevent distortion, the ziebart still burst into flames. Welding the sills and other box sections is going to be interesting. As was very worried about distorting the panel I used the gloop you can see on the bonnet, from Frosts, which draws the heat out of the panel and applied a wet towel after each weld. Keeping the garage tidy is a constant battle.
