I have now found a BRAND NEW SET of Eibach lowering Springs for my Alfa 33 !!!
Greek (George) , remember that ad you sent me last year from that site car.gr ?
I called them last year and it was too much trouble for them to have a look if the actual springs were the cone or cylinder type, so they told me they are listed for the later cars and didnt sell them to me.
I just came across those same springs from the same company again !
Called them up, and asked the same thing. I told them that I had called last year as well and they still have that set on their shelves, and I wasnt prepaired to call them ever again.
My call was then forwarded to a gentleman, which run down to the warehouse, picked up the box, and told me that its the ones I need - cylinder type, with 7 spirals for the front ones and 8 smaller for the rear
About 130 Euro, waiting for the shipping costs as well, and they will be on their way
In addition, I've also found a pair of top mounts for the front springs, which came from an older 33 and arent as soft as mine.
Finally, I got a GREAT condition fuel tank last night off a banger, and its ready to replace the modified one I've currently got on the car.
Track day this Sunday with my 33, with the KONI shocks set to full stiff at the back and 3/4 at the front, OMP springs and the antiroll bar in the front on.
Track day next Sunday with my 33, with the KONI's at same stiffness, Eibach Springs on (if they get here on time) and antiroll bar in the front off
Track day someday in May with my 33 with front antiroll bar on and rear antiroll bar installed !
I've got 1.31 to beat (lap time), I can report back with the results on all 3 occasions , and I WILL compare the stock springs with the omp's and eibachs by adding same weight to them and seeing how much they compress.
