145/146 Cloverleaf Wheels on 87 Sprint
Hi to all,
I hope that someone can give me some help on this tricky matter.
I have an 87 sprint (14" Speedline pepperpots) and I have some 145 Cloverleaf Alloys (15" Speedline Dials).
I have found that the alloys will fit the hubs with minimal adjustment of the centre bore, I have also been assured that the centre bore is there only to centre the wheel and the bolts do the actual holding of the wheel. I need to know what spacers to use, I have trial fitted with about 10mm of spacing included, using washers, the wheels still seem a bit short on clearance to the rear link rods. The offset difference is 10mm between the alloys, 39mm vs 49mm.
What I really want is to keep the existing suspension geometry the same as factory, I run konis and superflex bushes, as it works.
The front tyres will be 185/55/15 and the rears are 205/50/15.
I hope that someone has either done this conversion or at least can shed some light on the job.
