Return to 33s
After a couple of years of 145 ownership, last night I picked up a 33. It needs some work, but it's nice to be back in one.
It's a '93 1.7ie with 107k on the clock. It's got a whole week's MOT (!) and will need some work to get it through:
- One of the exhaust gaskets (at the manifold) is blowing.
- The backbox is blowing.
- It has a poorly back wheel bearing.
- High beam lights don't work - hopefully a fuse / relay.
Apart from that, there's nothing too drastically wrong. No structural rust that I can see. Some rust spots on the body, which have been treated but not painted.
Can't wait to get it all sorted and have a proper play in it
156 2.4jtd working it's way towards perfect condition. Loving the diesel warpage!
