So it's good news for us with the early type Alfasud.
SPAX part number is the "TAG1045-I" or I'm wrong?
Thats what I originally ordered which didn't fit my 1982 S3 sud
"Oil reservour" length 482mm
"Ram" length 253mm (including thread and strength adjuster)
I have got the "purpose made" ones that I had to give spaxs one of my struts to make
Part no TAG1175 LYA (proberly "borrowed from some other car that happend to fit
"Oil reservour" length 421mm
"Ram" length 253mm
Overal 674m (including thread and strength adjuster)
I have yet to fit these (I had asked folk here to check the measurements but have had no reply so far
) so don't take my word for them fitting - but at least they fit into the strut
As far as I have been told the S1 & 2 suds had inserts, the S3 didn't (hence the need to drill the hole in the bottom of the strut - spax even gave me a jig for this
) so I assume if your sud / sprint is pre 1980 the TAG1045 should be OK. If you don't have a bolt at the bottom then you have an S3 type - if you check the dims above then maybe you can use TAG1175 - but check with spaxs first just in case they made other "changes" but I quess they didn't
If not I have also been told you can change the complete strut for an "early one" and fit inserts to them (maybe this is more of a "marketing idea")
Hope this helps
