been to see the sud this morning, pretty much as described.
new n/s/f wing fitted, o/s/f one very good.
doors very good, few bits & bobs to sort but pretty solid especially the underside.
good bonnet and boot with little or no rust.
the odd dent here and there, bonnet, doors, roof etc. nothing major.
rear arches need some work, o/s one could do with an outer reapir panel. n/s one has been repaired around most of it, just a bit to do where it meets the sill.
new rear panel needs fitting, inner panel needs a bit of repairing where exhaust goes.
spare wheel well ok.
n/s has been removed and repairs well under way on the central membrane. floor lip needs making and new sill fitting.
o/s sill needs chopping off and fitting, guess will need the floor lip making too.
jacking points are solid from what i can see, bit of work needed here & there as things are uncovered.
rear window/parcel shelf area needs finishing, n/s part started.
the front end is pretty much done. little repair to the o/s wing mounting rail needed probably.
windscreen area is superb, not even any paint blisters and sounds solid not like it's full of filler.
car will come with most bits to finish it off, centre caps for wheels etc. will have the wooden steering wheel taken off and the one hanging on the wall in the picture fitted.
seats are in good condition apart from a bit of wear on the drivers seat and a small hole, need a good clean as been stored but will come up well. S1 front door cards not in the car though, S2 ones with it.
all in all a pretty good base to make a decent car from. andy is a nice fella who clearly knows his suds, and other alfas.
don't be fooled into thinking it's a light restoration as there will clearly be work to do not yet uncovered but it's a lot better than some i've seen, and done!
hope the pics work.
off out to wash the 147 now as it looks like a rally car, any questions i will try and answer in a while
