Think i've sussed it?

Re the seemingly common problem of fuel draining back when not having been driven for a while i fitted a non-return valve. Didn't drive the Sud for a week and this morning she started first time-result. I located it in the easiest place, between pump and filter but reckon back by the tank might be best??? I got this 8mm fuel specific gizzmo for 6.90 including p/p from Thornycroft Eng. (other suppliers are available} Any thoughts.

Member car:

Had a 33 1.7 QV

thinking of doing the same. They have some here made for diesel cars. that should work fine I guess.

Had left my 33 for some time. My wife and 18 month old were waiting to go away for the weekend , all packed and then crud, wouldn't start. It fired up and used all the fuel in the carbs but then stalled and had nothing left.

Had to remove the airbox, intakes and fill the carbs with fuel to get her going again.

Wife and kid were not impressed.
