It was a very tidy Yellow Ti ,with only 101,000 kms on the clock.& no rust.
So i had a look at a 87 sprint Ti as well ,with 98,000 kms but it had a few spots of rust or evidence of rust being covered up,So i might steer clear of that.
So now i might have to settle for another 33 for my weekly run-about.
as i dont what to clock up to many kms on the 155.
Hi Kiwi, what part of Canterbury are you in?
I was in Christchurch last week for Christmas, couldn't believe the weather! Hopped on the plane in Melbourne at 38 degrees to be greeted by 7 degrees and rain 3 hours later!
Still managed to do 100miles in my Fiat Bambina during the week I was over there and managed to get the sunroof open a couple of times!
I had several Sprints and 33's in ChCh, my first and favourite was a Red 1984 Sprint TiQV in Red, reg LU228. Was a great car and I thoroughly enjoyed it, took it all round the North Island. Sold it after my mother missed a patch of ice at an intersection and crashed it under a Pajero! Still looked good after it was repaired but sold it to buy a flat.
Missed it and ended up buying another 87 Sprint Ti- NA9306. Was a lovely car and looked absolutely as new- had admired the car on the lot at Phillip Mills but they went under before I got around to buying it- ended up buying it off the receivers! Only found out 2yrs later when I went to sell it that the finance company never discharged the loan....
Regretfully sold it when I moved to Australia.
If either turn up in your quest I would be interested to hear of them- had lots of fun with them and hope they are still around.
Have managed to end up with another Sud- an 83 TiQV in Australia- don't really drive it much anymore but couldn't part with it anyway. Good luck and keep looking- should be able to find a good one over there- it will be worth the hunt!
