Had a 33 1.7 QV

What level of nitride does the 1.7 crank have?

Interesting note by Guy Croft that the nitrided En40B is so thin on the Fiat cranks(2 liter) that re-grinding should not be done.

Does anyone know what kind of nitride treatment the boxer 1.7 cranks have?

Is this a standard nitride treatment (nitrided En40B)?

I strongly believe, that even the guy who designed these engines wont be able to answer this question

The factory however, gives.... or should I say GAVE ... oversize main bearings for these cranks. So I suppose it would be fine to do so.
