postie had his arms full this morning
just about got all the parts i need now.
decided to try one of the sump plug adapters that allows an oil temperature sender to be fitted. knew it would protude down below the sump level a bit but for £9 i thought it worth a try. reasonably
happy with how it sits, is just below the sump level but i'm hoping it will be ok. actually sticks down just less than 10mm below the bottom of the sump.
if it looks like being an issue then i will go back to the standard plug.
also got a new oil temperature gauge (matched to the sender), the brake proportioning valve, new rear flexi-hose, alloy induction pipe & connections and some "P" clips for the brake pipes going inside the car. so should be able to complete the braking system this weekend.
made up a little mounting tonight to support the induction pipe just short of the filter. it will have a strip of silicone from the joiner between the bracket and the pipe then secured by a big jubilee clip.
all painted up now awaiting fitting.
the job list is getting smaller
