few more jobs done this weekend, inspiration gained from seeing teds' car out on track
oil cooler at last plumbed in. the route for the pipes was giving me grief but happy enough with the results.
brake lines mostly installed, save for the one to the rear flexi. still deciding if it's worth installing a brake proportioning valve inside the car or not. will be going direct to the rear flexi instead of using the load valve on the back axle but still not sure that the rears locking up will be an issue....will most likely fit one though and run the line in the car..
made up a little bracket to support the lower rad pipe which has quite a few joins to get around the cam housing so needed it. couple of black cable ties will secure it.
found a sud dipstick which luckily enough still reads the same level as the 16V one, which is broken, so painted that ready to fit.
cooling system all finished. have used a heater assembly as it may well end up being a road car, plus it provides a little bit extra cooling if needed. just need to wire in the fan and fan switch.
jobs left to do?
make the adjustable rear panhard rod.
mount the dash gauges properly.
sort the induction prior to the AFM, filter ordered.
sort the wiring for the front lights etc, then tidy the rest.
then get it prepped for paint
have a date in mind that i really could do with making.......
