a few more bits & bobs done, all the little jobs take so much time it's unreal! "so near, yet so far" i think is the phrase that suits..
little jobs like..........sort out the handbrake
well as the sud has a front handbrake, and mine will have a rear one on the sprint axle it's not as simple as it first sounds.
but simple enough
all you need is a couple of extra holes making for the cables to run, and a little bracket knocking up and welding to the floor to hold them in place.
new cables, shoes & cylinders fitted so should all be as good as can be. quite big diameter brakes as far as it goes, 229mm diameter is reasonably big for drums, so should be up to the job.
few jobs left to do, plumb in the oil cooler, find a way of fitting the oil pressure switch &
the oil low warning switch, make a support for the radiator hose, finish the engine bay wiring etc...
