Re: Spark plugs for Alfasud
I personall find that lodge plugs are great if you're fanging the arse off you car (e.g trackwork) or serious cruising but as for bumming round in the traffic forget it, Yes the NGK BP7es is not a bad option sometimes an BP8es is better in the traffic and a BP6es is better for faster driving, In my 75 which does use pretty much the same plugs I am finding the bosch equivalents are better for performance but don't last as long as the NGK's (W8DC)
In case you're interested the numeral indicates the heat rating the higher the number the hotter the plug, usually hotter plugs are used for !!!!tier engines and/or driving conditions (if you get my drift?)
But somewhere around the 6,7 or 8 mark is Ok for everyday stuff and i find any conventional plug is OK providing it is of good quality (Champions are OK too but cant remember their codes)
My ultimate opions of lodges is they are great but require the right driving conditions and they are too expensive.
I also have a question has anybody used the Bosch supe 4's with the 4 electrodes? What is your opinion?
