Strange rubbing noise when veering left

Hi all,

As per title, I am experiencing a strange rubbing/humming noise when veering to the left. Noise goes away as I turn the wheel back and it doesnt make any noise when veering right. It sounds like it's coming from the left side albeit kind of central. Does it both in gear or coasting in neutral and doesn't seem brake related. Jacked the car up and got the wheels spinning and turned the steering left anD right, couldn't see anything. It seems to only do it under the weight of the car. Sounds like a bearing noise but surely when turning left i should be hearing it from the right side? Car has new outer cv and reconditioned inner cv on left side. Outboard brakes. Any ideas cos I'm stumped!

I have had this problem in 33s over the years.
Sounds to me like the exhaust is contacting the underside of the car.
It does sound like a rubbing noise and took me ages to figure out.
Try repositioning it slightly until it stops.

It seems to be a bearing. If it is worn , usually makes noise while turning or reaching certain speed . Jack up again the car and try to move/shake the wheel vertical and check if there is "dead" space . This is a good indication of worn bearing.
