V6 sud? did consider it, along with a really mad idea i had last night.
binned that rediculous idea now having been to BLS this afternoon and chatting with bryan & shrew, just far too much work
was thinking along the lines of getting another fiat coupe as a donor car, a 16V turbo this time. fitting it north/south and using a complete integrale rear axle/subframe setup to create a nice little RWD sud with 200+ turbo bhp
would have been nice but FAR too much work once i'd remembered how far forward the forward bulkhead is having looked at the BLS racer.
talking to bryan though has confirmed waht i originally thought, that a sud stripped out to save a load of weight with a decent 16V engine would make a fun car. got loads of tips on what to do and what not to bother with as it will still be a road legal car as well as a track day car
on the way home i called in on a house i popped into about a year ago that had 3 fulvias and an integrale in the drive. only has 2 fulvias and the 'grale now.
had a nice chat with the fella who owns them all, eventually. to start with he wasn't too keen on talking and said they were definetly NOT for sale.
got chatting about lancia motor club and all the lancias i've had over the years and things changed.
upshot is i've left all my contact details with him and he will let me know soon if i can have the car off him as he had promised it to the fella who fetched the other fulvia.
would love to have this one. it's red, a 16V and has been RHD converted when new by john whalley. best of all the fella has owned it since it was 3 months old and seemed very keen to know that i would restore it back to full health
may end up with a 16V sud &
a 16V integrale
