not too far off now taking my car to Dave. Need one final component for my car which is the Omex etc. Not been working since March, so it is on the list (buying) for when I get back to work. Need to install the new engine and get it as close to working as possible, then trailered / towed up to Cheltenham.
Have decided not to go with verniers on mine for the time being. I bought some massaged and flowed heads from Dave, but stuck with standard cams and verniers for the time being. It just seemed like the easy option - and after your experiences and cam selection conundrums - I thought I would stick with the high compression, 1800cc, gas flowed heads design and see how I got on with that little lot. I think starting to play with cams and verniers sounds like a world of potential pain. I did have a chat with Dave the last time I saw him and he seemed to be saying 'yes…. it is not easy is it!'
I think once this is all up and running I may well venture down the supercharger route as a slow project. But who knows…….
