Nice lot of photographs and glad to see that Lauren must have got her MoT - and has the gearbox oil leak now been sorted with the engine relocated/tilted?
Hello Philip - yes, passed MoT on Tuesday. I used the car on Saturday to do the weekly shop (beats cycling in the rain, which is what I've been doing for the last 6 months), and on the basis that all was still OK made a call based on the weather yesterday morning, which was better than it was 24 hours earlier.
I'm pleased to report that after the 90 mile round trip there is no oil leaking from the driveshaft oil seals, so the realignment exercise has been a success. The new exhaust system remains leak-free, and the new gearchange is working OK too.
Unfortunately the engine oil leak (the one from the cambox/cylinder head interface) is rather worse than before; I arrived at NAD in a cloud of oil smoke (the LH exhaust manifold runs directly beneath the leaking gasket), and when I got home last night the secondary pipes (which run cooler than the primaries), wishbones and LH driveshaft were all liberally coated in engine oil. I need to check the level on the dipstick, but the initial estimate is that we are somewhere between the Torry Canyon and the Exxon Valdez...
...But apart from that, it was a good day
