Thats great news mate
If the bearing went loose though, was it because of the hub centre bolt coming lose ? or the bearing itself breaking ?
That could end up with a wheel loss and lots of damage on the bodywork, so good call for easing up
Since my last track day with my 33, I could hear a clanky noise when shifting gears, especially form 1st to 2nd.
At first I thought I damaged the left drive shaft or that there was play on the lower wishbone ball joint.
I neglected to check it out, but last week when I did, I found that there was very little play from the bearing - the kind that they would tell you at MOT "Its not serious, but check it out in the future".
The centre bolt took very little tightening, less than 1/8th of a turn, but then the clanking nose went away !
My point is that from what I understand, the wheel bearings, although they are usually not in our minds when it comes to changing or about them been faulty, take a lot of beating on the track and they easily get damaged !
Mine must have got damaged when I span on a corner and went off the track.
I didnt feel anything either but my fellow Alfa spectators said that they could see my front left wheel bouncing about a bit on corners.
I'm sure you will make up for it next time though mate
Looking forward to seeing that footage
