The teething looks like it will mainly be around the dry sump, there will have to be rigorous checks to ensure we get the levels to an optimum state... enjoyable as it's development and fine tuning which I enjoy BUT also critical as we cannot afford to get this wrong, there will be an interesting few race weekends ahead.
Anyone with dry sump experience please chip in... our issue on first outing appears to have been the return to the main tank was inadvertently blowing oil pretty much directly into the catch tank and then coming out through the filter losing approx 1.5 - 2.0 of oil which has pretty much coated everything, this built up unknown to me through quali/race 1 & race 2, by the time I drove straight onto the trailer there was a fair amount of dripping going on.
So in an effort to solve this and get to a point where only vapour makes it to the catch tank we are having some additional work carried out on the main tank, likely to be by way of a baffle some description.
So it's onwards and upwards... Tank due back Wednesday along with the alternator, hopefully Wednesday/Thursday will be bolting everything back in place, the rad fan has arrived and will fit with reasonable clearance.
Next Saturday I'm hoping to get a few laps at Knockhill during Scottish Motor Show and also get some time out on the public roads weather permitting in order to fully bed the brakes in and check the oil levels etc.
