dayco timing belts, any good?

will be doing the belts on my new 33 engine soon but I really need to keep costs down as the 156 will be needing surgery soon too

Has anyone used these belts before?

I'm a bit worried about messing about with timing belts.
I had original ones snap twice on my cars and twice on friends cars !
I've always used original ones, but they might had been old stock or something.

As long as they are a fresh lot, I'm sure they'll be fine.

Had a 33 1.7 QV

What about Continental (Contitech)? I was impressed with their quality when they arrived.

It seems to be hit and miss what you get anyway from a genuine part. I ran dayco's on the 155 for years, then the one time I got a contitech. got a conti on the 156 now just changed from good year. All from 1 specialist. he says they change them all the time so depends what you get even with genuine equip. wouldn't worry
