As the majority of you will have seen over the last few months Kev Jtd has spent many hours welding my verdi green S1 ti to make a fantastic 1.7 powered sud, its nearing completion (bodywork) as its currently at painting stage,
Some of you will also be aware I have an original 1978 S1 ti in Brunno Cilento reg DWP 14S which ive had round several of the shows and events and run through several summers as a fun and show car.
Its featured in a mag, turned many heads and given me hours of brilliant driving fun, however i only have so much time and so much space and want to know if there is anyone out there who is interested in taking her on before i test the water on ebay.
My head says no, but a restored S1, limited garage space and a S3 105 GC (awaiting completion) say i may need to part company....oh heck, what have i said...
So, if its up for grabs, is there anyone out there wanting a good, not concourse, but original S1 ti sud for fun times, and maybe more !!
Brief details are, original 1286cc engine, 70,000 miles, 12 months MOT, original interior, orignal style wheels, new tyres, taxed and ready for using...
See a photo on Kevs recent York Sud thread....
Ooooh dear, this is so very tempting,
your car does look a nice example and my first ever Alfa was a very similar 1978 Alfasud Ti 1200cc finished in Coral Red, (orange) and its registration was SER 158S.
I must resist though as I already have 4 cars, a 156 and Minari amongst them and I do think the girlfriend/partner’s good humour to my cars would evaporate instantly! But then again she might well fall in love with it herself and I will never see it again!
Surely if your car is a 1978 then it is 1186 cc? I also note you have a non-standard glass sunroof and a later model bonnet vent scoop fitted, mind you I did retro fit the bonnet scoop to my own and I would have liked a sunroof on mine when I had it. I bought mine in 1980 when I had just turned 20 and thought I was the bee’s knees.
It is so very tempting but I must watch developments from afar. Despite what I say above it is a very nice looking car and I would be glad to own it if I could.
Good luck to all interested and may the best man win.
