Sorry I missed you at Duxford, I did stay by the Minari’s for about 45 minutes when I first arrived but I couldn’t resist checking out all of the Alfas on display.
It really took me back to see the Series 1, 2 & 3 ‘Sud Ti’s,( I used to have a 1978 1.2 Ti S1), the Sprint’s, (I used to have a pair of the later 33 based cars), and the 33’s, (I never had one of them).
Then I went and checked out the Old Twin Cams such as the Alfetta GTV’s, (I had two of them, 2000cc versions), I saw a few of the 1980’s Giuliettas, (had a 1800cc), and Giulia’s, (I never had any of these but I just love them all, the saloons, GTV’s, Spiders and Sprint’s). In addition to the models I have mentioned already I enjoyed the Zagato’s old and new, the Duetto Spiders, Montreal’s and everything else that was there.
Then Jen my other half and I had our picnic and went off to check out the museums. I did however keep an eye open for people milling about the Minari’s looking as if they might introduce themselves but nobody did whilst I was there, I had lots of questions from interested members though.
I am sure we will meet up at some stage soon.
