The 33 Cloverleafs were always crashy over surfaces and humps, worse than 'sud. I broke a coil spring on a speed hump on my 1.7
Fresh bushings and dampers will help a lot. But 33 QV was never that comfortable though.
However, you could try the taller, comfier springs as fitted to the non-QV cars. My QO (Gold Cloverleaf) 'sud and the 33 QO rode higher and softer. As you're staying OEM, your current dampers can stay.
