Just thought I would enquire if anyone has seen any of my old alfa's
My first alfa and boy did I love this one
Zender sprint reg F337 TLA
I bought it off a mate for £400 an a valet on his new integra type R
I spent a bit of cash on it to get it through it's ticket there was a case file with over £12k spent on it but the tester said to me it was it's last time he could put it through, those body kits man, there wasn't a lot behind it. It was loaded with yellow konis lowering springs lightened flywheel decent cams it even had electric windows! well at least one of them worked.
It went to a guy in Ireland the day before he came to collect it I was out given it some beans and the back box came off, it didn't seem to bother him though! It was a sad day but I just didn't have the cash back then as you can see in the background I was driving an L reg 1.8 escort van that thing sucked but it was free
Moving on 3 years and this caught my eye...
33 1.7 8v Reg F982 GAL
This 33 was mint apart from the filler with 2 lady owners and only 52k on the she was in super order the car was listed only 10 miles away from me. the lady cried as I drove it away, the 33 had shocking brakes and the extra weight didn't help after only 3 months i fell out of love with it and it was sold to a guy in london who was gonna spend some cash on it. Looking back it wasn't fair to compare a modified sprint to a stock 33
A year or two passed by and one night after a couple of beers I bought a pool table on ebay whilst delighted with my new purchase I got a little carried away and bought this 20 mins later...
Alfasud 1.5 QO Reg SMO 339Y
She looked better in the photos we got it home on the back of a trailer she ran alright but the tin worm had definitely made it's home in this one. I took it to the body shop guy and he refused to work on it so it spent 6 months on my parents drive before my dad said "either sell it or scrap it" I made a tidy little profit and bought this
916 GTV 2ltr Reg V511 FGM
no rust for a change i really enjoyed this car we had a great summer together the misus liked this one too, unfortunetely business took a turn for the worst and my bank manager put paid to this one
A few years later we braved the recession and thanks to my other hobbie of collecting high fidelity equipment I spotted a lovely old turntable at a local auction house which paid for the trofeo I have today.
I just wish it would stop raing so I can take the damm thing out again
