water temp sensor

Hi fellows!
I think the water temp sensor on my 33 Imola, the one in the right head of the engine, has stopped working. The temp gauge shows perfectly the temp, but I don’t feel the engine changing it’s ‘’working mood’’ when passed the 40*C.
Where can I find one to buy on the web.

Hi !

You can check the sensor resistance with a digital multimeter,
directly on the sensor connector, and/or in the ECU connector
between pin#13 and pin#16.

The resistance of the sensor is reverse proportional with the
coolant temperature (NTC sensor). Some corner points:
Temp(*C) / Resistance
+80 - 300 Ohms
+60 - 550 Ohms
+40 - 1100 Ohms
+20 - 2500 Ohms
0 - 6000 Ohms
-20 - 15000 Ohms

If the resistance check fails you can search to the following
order numbers:
- Bosch 0280130026
- Hella 6PT009107-361
- Meat&Doria MED82033
- FEBI17695
- Facet FT7.3128
