yes they are totally different in terms of single/twin lobe design but the actual duration/lift specs are what am looking for.. The lumpier single lobe cam of the cloverleaf 105 are said to give an extra 10hp, am just wondering what the increase in lift/duration was to get this.. The alfasud only ever used twin lobe cams till the 105 cloverleaf was produced in 81/82 i think?
Greek here's a little run down of the difference between the 1.5 engines which started production in 78 with the s2 through to 84 s3 cloverleaf...
85hp = single carb + twin lobe cams (allen key adjustable type)
95hp = twin carbs + twin lobe cams (allen key adjustable type)
105hp = twin carbs + newly designed single lobe cams (shimmed type)
