the owner has sent some pictures over to me, it is as he described it, if not worse
well beyond saving really, even if doing it how i do and spending more than it's worth
the rot has eaten through the outer, centre and inner sills which is to be expected. worse though the chassis leg looks like it would fall apart with a stiff wind on it, and looks to have been plated before. screen surround has a good few holes that can be seen so bound to be rotten all along under the paint. rear arches gone, inner & outer. corrocsion inside the fuel flap area. doors need work. wing mounting rails and inner wing area around the strut have gone, literally! "A" pillars have been reapired before, new sill has been fitted some time ago but not finished off & now rusted.
on the plus side the interior looks in good condition and all the glass is intact so if viewed as suggested by the vendor (spares use only) then it is a good buy. for the interior panels & glass alone it would be worth getting for any giardinetta owner never mind all the other bits like the lights, wheels, running gear, switches etc. where else can you get a complete set of panels for inside the boot area??
not for me though this one
