ser 2 struts on a ser 3 33

Epic Fail

I have just fitted my ser 2 struts to my ser 3 33 with Koni inserts and solid top mounts.
When we went to adjust the tracking there was no adjustment left and it was still towing out by 20 degrees each side.
The ser 3 tracking adjustment has a hex bar near the end, with 2 locking nuts, allowing you to adjust the tracking without removing the track rod end like you have to do on the ser 2

I will eventually be fitting a ser 2 non power steering rack and I believe that the ser 2 steering arms will not fit onto a ser 3 PS rack.

Does anyone know if this hex bar can be removed and the track rod end screwed into the steering arm, like the ser 2? I didnít think of this at the time so didnít ask the tracking guy.

Or is there another way around this, If not I will swap everything back tomorrow as I need the car for Monday.
