Brake Pad Compatibility

Hello all,
I have an S1 over here in the USA and am needing brake pads for it. Does anyone know if any other Alfas had the same calipers the 33 has? It would have to be from an Alfetta, GTV, 75, 90 or a Spider as those were the only models sent to the US back then.

I've checked some cross references for you but i've found
the front brake pads are compatible with AlfaSUD or Alfa Arna only.

Your brake system is ATE or Bendix?
(or where are the "ears" [with holes] on the pads: on the top
or on the sides?)

If you know the shape of the pads have a look at this:-

Brakeworld - Electronic Product Catalogue

If you place the cursor over the part number it shows a drawing of that pad. Then once matched with what you have see if the cars you've listed show the same number. Or/and use cross reference list, menu on LHS. I've a 1.7 sportwagon and getting pads for that has been problematic in the past at times as they do seem specific to that particular model.

brake pads

Sprint, Arna, 33 thats all that is listed on the box I have for the pads.

The part code from TRW is: GDB7553 that might help, if you google it maybe you will get something???

There are 3 different types of 33 pads you dont want the wrong ones!!!

Hope that helps

Thanks for the info guys, that's pretty much what i was coming up with here too but figured you all might find something different in the Euro catalogs. Maybe I'll look into swapping some brakes from something over here.

thanks again!
