The Sud box can be made to fit on a 16v, but you will need to grind out a bit of the gearbox case to allow the crank angle sensor to fit. The output shafts are obviously different, but it is not that hard to swap the output shafts from your 33 box to the sud box, thus fixing that problem, and sorting out the speedo issue.
There is a bit of a process of checking shim sizes and clearances to check the preload on the output bearings, so you might want to look at a service manual on how to do that. Its a bit of a fiddle, but not that hard.
The ratios in some of the sud boxes are preferred by a lot of the racing guys, and with a 4.1 diff, will help the acceleration. If however you have a road car and plan to do any long motorway trips you might find the 4.1 a bit too low. |The engine will be running at higher revs at motorway speeds, and probably won't be great for touring use.
Hope that helps !
