An what about the acceleration pumps? Those making
your engine injected for a moment
yes very true - a kind of early fuel injection!
It was interesting seeing the readings.
After fully warmed up I adjusted it so easily.
Found that my original idle setting was WAY off. tooo rich even though I thought it sounded ok.
I adjusted it to about 14- 14.7.
On the overrun I heard a much louder crackle/popping and saw the readings go into 16-16.5, I guess this is normal on the let off of the throttle.
Under acceleration up to 3000 rpm it was rading about 11.7-12.5, but with very very good response. Maybe a bit rich but safer on the rich side.
Haven't had a chance to try it at faster speeds yet.
I richened the idle out a bit more as I noticed the engine was running hotter when idling in the hot weather here.
BUT a very useful tool and very fun to work with.
