right in order then.
Kev, thank you very much, i know if it pleases your eye it must look nice, and i'm pleased you think your Sud should be graced with such a creation! If you could swing by at all, it would be great for me to finalise the design where i need to tweak it around the inboard discs if neccesary, so yes mate that would be fab if we could work that out. You can have one whenever you want mate, same for everyone, once the patterns are perfected, i can repeat at will, and yes, i think i'm going to be engine painting! ha ha!
Supercharged, did you get your email? and does that help you decide?
AL33NUT, thanks mate, but the build for my manifold only went so well because of all the background work that was put in before hand, i.e. the help from Rodger and the Brunswick boys, the loan Ansa system, Daves dream list of dimensions etc etc, all meant that i had in mind, metal, and paper, the design, shape and form i wanted before we even opened the workshop doors. It still took some waste, lots of tea, and between us we've all covered some road and carpet miles to get the design where it is now!
Same as for Kev and anyone, once the pattern is perfected, it can be repeated at any time, so it doesn't matter when youre ready just holla, and yes, Rusper Alfa was mentioned a lot in the conversation whilst i was buying the car from a chap who does resto work on their behalf, Larry i think it was, and some fine fine Alfa's he had too that he was working on. Do you know the car? don't tell me any horror stories, i love it!
Alfasixnut, thank you very much.
Lenin, hi again mate, and thank you. Yep, we spoke briefly before about the P4 kink requirement, so no worries, we can either try to adapt from measurements, or better still custom build it on the car once youre up and running, no extra of course chap, unless of clourse someone else come up with a P4 in which case i'll know the score for when you're ready.
PauloC, thanks mate, well if its a must, its a must i suppose, so yeah, you must! ha ha!
BigAl33, i've been over to my friends rolling road place today funnily enough, not for a power run or anything, purely social, (and to discuss some cold air intake idea i have at the mo too!) but i did go in the 33, and they were really quite excited by it. Good going for guys who can build 1000bhp motors i thought, a pat on the dash for the old girl! Anyway, a power run did come up in conversation, and i would dearly love to know some before and after figures, but i have a couple of issues with the before run!
Firstly, i would have to retrofit my stock system and manifiold again, which in itself isn''t a problem, normally, except i completely flattened a rear section of pipe trying to get the join to seperate, so fitting that again would result in about 40BHP!
Secondly, my water pump is rattling its way out the bonnet, so in mechanical sympathy, i really ought to take the car off the road, drop the engine and box out, paint the engine bay and engine for Kev, and do all my engine, box, pump and belt work whilst i'm at it, so although i'm as interested to know myself as you are, i'm afraid its not currently topping the priority list. But you never know, i am very curious to see the black and white, so i'll post up anything i do in this direction.
BigAl33, thanks for starting a list of interested parties, and thank you for asking the question regarding the costs.
Forum members, group buys in particular will get the absoloute best price i can achieve, and i'm currently trying to work out and screw down everything i can from the T304 steel supplier to the welding rod quantity per manifold!
please let me consult the admin as to wether i can post a figure up or not, which seeing as you have asked, i can't see a problem, but i'd like to check first, we don't want a repeat of a few pages ago eh!
I'll let you know there advice asap.
