Knocking noise when idling.

Bit of a strange one this. When the Sprint is sat idling out of gear I'm getting a knocking sound but when I press the clutch pedal down the sound goes away. Anyone had anything like this before?

Yes it's pretty normal. It's something in the gearbox (don't know the english word for it) that rattles.

Thanks for this guys. Just one of its 'characteristics' then

Now you mention it John, I seem to remember you posting about it.

I have just replaced the clutch because of this noise. It didn't make any difference and still does it. I think it's the main shaft bearings inside the gearbox? but told all suds do this.

No worries mateyboy
