Alfa 33 1.7 8v for sale in Scotland
I went to see a grey L Reg 1.7ie 8v in North Fife this week and told the seller I'd put a note on here.
Description of car - 78k miles (I think), driven every day.
Good points - Engine very sweet (head gaskets done recently), steering pretty good, gearbox OK (but see below!), 3 out of 4 jacking points OK, new driver's door (but a different silver colour). Electric Windows work.
Bad points - Clutch needs replacing (still driveable), front nearside jacking point not great, exhaust back box needs doing very soon, bottoms of other 3 doors rusting slightly, usual gas struts gone on hatch, possibly a bush needing done on front nearside suspension? (a few clunks). Interior very messy - but I think would valet OK. Alfa control doesn't work (as usual) and a few warning lights on dash (fuel gauge intermittent and temp light - altho temp inidcated seems to be OK)
MOT and Tax till end of July. Chris, the seller, is a mature student - interesting guy - and has bought a Fiesta because it's cheaper to run. He's done lots of work to keep the 33 on the road. He's been offered £70 for scrap but would like it to go to a good home if possible.
Reason I didn't buy it? A little much for me to do (particularly the clutch), but loved driving it.
