Many thanks for replys.
Like I say my carbs are a Dellorto 40 DRLA with original setup to the 1.7 8v, 142 main, 9164.4 tubes, 180 air corrector, 52 idle, and 35 accelerator pump, when I rebuild my engine, because he have a large wear in cylinders I put new 87.6mm pistons (unfortunately the 87.4 are smaller because the excessive wear) new bearings (rods and crankshaft), valves relaped, hydraulic tappets by INA (from a cosworth) all new gaskets and o-rings from Payen and I assembly all with redline assembly lube on bearings and cams and ARP assembly lube on head bolt treads.
This is a little history of my engine, in relation to ignition and carburation, I disassembly all carburettor parts and put new o-rings and gaskets, only the diaphragm and entry valves left, and make a previously setup to carbs, 3 turns out on mixture screws and 2 turns in on idle control screws after I set the linkage to synchronize the carburettors, distributor are also full overhauled.
My problems now are: with the distributor because I don't understand very well the function of advance vacuum, and the centrifugal advance is much advanced, in other words, I setup the static advance to 8º at 900rpm with the vacuum advance disconnect, so far so good, after I like test the centrifugal advance and I now that on 4500rpm the advance should be 34º, my problems start here, because 34º (full advance) are all in on 3200rpm, the other problem or not with the distributor is my vacuum advance doesn't work at idle just if open a throttle a little and advance very little or nothing. Unfortunately I don't have the tools to diagnosis the problem and don't know nobody with the knowledge and tools to make this job.
Please say me how advance vacuum work for I see if mine is normal or not, I know that mechanical advance is wrong and probably I only can fix it put new spring on distributor right? (they have two springs inside they are equal effort right?)
So my problems for now, I check if the advance vacuum as leak and not, he maintain the vacuum, the tube are new, and the pulse valve are the right away, the four little tubes that equalise the gases from emission system are all new and working
Distributor rotor, cap, spark plug leads and spark plugs are all new (lodge 25hl spark plugs and magnecor cables)
I will make a U manometer to synchronize better the carburettor but I now if I don't have the ignition on 100% I never can have a 100% carburettor function.
Sorry for long reply, and thanks for all.
