Clutch slip problem
Since I put the new Maniflow exhaust manifold on my Minari, power output has improved to such an extent that the clutch now slips when you pass 4750rpm on full throttle in 4th or 5th gear. It was 145bhp before the exhaust change - probably about 155bhp or so now.
The clutch is a 'standard' 1.7 16v unit and has only done about 3000 miles from new. It was an aftermarket brand from a motor factor rather than an Alfa branded part.
What sort of power should a standard clutch be able to cope with? Any recommendations on what to replace it with? I see AHM have a twin plate clutch on their list of race parts, but I would think that would be overkill until you got to 200bhp+.
