Body tilt and suspension behaviour
Lately I've noticed that my 33 (1991 model) has been sitting slightly tilted to the right (when viewed from the inside). For some time I attributed this to non-level ground where I park, but I am notiacing this everywhere (even on flat and tilted-the-other-way ground). The right front wheel comes up to the level of the arch, while on the left there is at least 2 inches of height between the arch and the wheel.
Has anyone here had the same symptoms on his car? Apart from a damaged spring what could this be?
I don't know if this is related, but I had to change the left rear tyre and when I removed the wheel the hub "dropped" and left the spring free (about an inch or slightly less of free space) - to put the wheel in again I had to grab the upper trailing arm and pull upwards while pushing the wheel into place. My understanding is that the two trailing arms on each side should act similar to a Watt's linkage and keep the dead axle parallel to the body (thus avoiding the hub from dropping).
What could be going on? I'm not particularly inclined to replacing all the arms and bushes of the suspension... so I'd appreciate help on finding the problem spot.
