boxer winter-entertainment

It's been a while but I just wanted to let you know I've had a great day playing with an old 33 again. It's a champagne coloured 33 series 2 ('89) 1.3 junior. My mate bought it for parts but maybe it's even too good for that.

Anyway we will have some nice days in the garage tinkering with it this winter (as if my own sprint doesn't need attention...) and we've had a nice day trip. It isn't running (bearings, head gasket, clutch master cylinder) so we had to tow it home...

... over 263 km's

"Life was like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." (Forest Gump)and a sprint sure is a big box of chocolates!

Holy Sh** a 263km tow, not that would have required a degree of concentration

She looks good from the little to be seen in that pic

that's settled, I've just bought the shell to reshell mij green series 2 QV

still have some welding to do, but a whole lot less welding compared to my own series 2

just a new rearpanel to weld in, i had allready bought one for my qv
do some panelbeating on the roof, a brick is a bit stronger than the roof of a car LOL
and a minor bit of welding in the rearinnerwing on the right side

so i guess this shell will save me about 100 hours of welding / panelfabrication
