2 problems!!!Need advice.
I need to discuss about to different problems so I don't need to open 2 threads.
I have changed the O2 sensor in my 33 Imola. The Air/Fuel gauge I have is never getting to the ''reach'' side, it starts with ''poor'',gets hot and shows ''optimum'' and when really hot and under accelerations starts to fluctuates between poor and optimum BUT IT NEVER GOES TO REACH, no meter haw hard you push the pedal it will always show OPTIMUM.
Is it normal or it should be a problem...
Note: since the new O2 sensor the idle problems are gone and the car feels more responsive.
I was told that leaving the empty catalytic, like I do, so just the cat shell affects to the performance and doesn't help the back pressure. I said to the specialist that maybe we can cut it and make it a tube with the same dimensions as the original tube, but he insisted that it wont help, so he wants to put instead of the empty cat a kind of aftermarket small muffler. He said that it will help to increase performance (not to loose), it will help back pressure and it will also help to warm the O2 sensor quicker...Is this true, I mean I left an appointment for tomorrow to tidy my exhaust but first need to know what is best for my car performance...
Thanks in advance,
OOO SH*T...THIS IS MY 4TH ONE
