Don't judge me to harshly please
The Sud is being sold on... Yesterday I had a call from a Sud specialist in the UK... basically he asked if he could buy the car, after a little discussion I agreed to sell, not for great profit BUT due to the circumstances, the car came from this gentlman to it's previous owner three years ago, he knows the history of the car.
The future of the 5 door is that part of the interior will be used on a pristine example which is to be featured in a classics magazine in the near future, the welding required on the car will be carried out and she will be MOT'd, finding a new home with someone who's Sud is on it's last legs.
I'll be sad to see her go BUT practicality and the promise of help to find another (probably 2 door Sud or Sprint) in the future for my Son played a big part in the situation, I've done the deal so to speak on a little FIAT for my boy too in order that we can get out on the road asap and get his passing his driving test.
I believe he will end up in a Sud or Sprint later in 2010, in fact i'll make sure of it
So this Friday I'll be trailering the Sud to the north east of England, dropping her off and collecting my Ronal's which are being collected and taken to the drop off point, from there a 20 mile drive to collect the little FIAT Cinquecento and trailer it back home, the little fiat has 12 months MOT and some road tax, it's good to go in terms of getting out on the road with my boy at the wheel.
The little Sud is going to a good home and will be the daily driver of a lady who has owned Sud's for many years.
