Formula Boxer Europa

I have 2 Formula Alfa Boxer single seater race cars.

Looking for other owners, detailed information and any history material.

I think that this was an Italian/Euro series only. I have never seen them in the UK. Put up some pics as I expect folk would be interested in them. Cheers,

I think you're right Mark - as I understand it, the series only lasted a couple of years before Alfa's new owners stopped the proceedings. FIAT had a downer on the Boxer engine.

I think the cars used factory-spec 1.7 16v engines with standard engine management and a Hewland FT200 gearbox. I can't remember who built the chassis, but they would be typical Dallara/Van Diemen F3 suppliers. I've often wondered about a Hewland 'box for road use but they are £££££££'s expensive

How did you come by two cars FB? If you find any more you should be able to start a race series on your own!

Van Dieman definately built some - similar to their original Formula Renault 1700 offering (see an eg here: 1992 Van Diemen AlfaRomeo F Boxer Europa Spec Sheet). I think another manufacturer was Ermolli & another was Tatuus.

Someone on here was looking for one about a year ago:

Might be very suitable for the UKs Monoposto 1800 category: Monoposto Racing Club Ltd -Championship & Forum Web Site
