This coming weekend I'm planning to strip out the remaining glass, remove the roll cage, remove the dashboard (anyone looking for a dash let me know) and pulling everything together before taking the car to Brunswick Racing sometime in the next few weeks.
The planned work will be to have the engine rebuilt using my recently aquired racing heads, FD4 cams and pair of webber 40's, yet to discuss the expected power output when done but looking at 140+ bhp
thats all I'm prepared to say on power for now
Brunswick will also be wiring up the instrument & control panels which came with the yellow sprint along with doing some work on the brakes, this still leaves me lots to be doing on the car when I collect it in 2 - 3 months.
Meanwhile back at home the Speciale will be stripped of glass and interior ready to be prepared for a nice fresh coat of paint... all being well she'll be painted before my racecar returns from Brunswick.
I'd like to get a run out at Knockhill before the gates close for the winter, if only to put a few miles on the race engine and get a feel for how I'll set up the suspension for the track.
I really don't want to miss next year on track, it's been painful having to sit on the sidelines whilst the centenary celebrations have been going off, I'd have dearly loved to have flown the flag for Alfa Romeo in the Scottish Classic Series this year.
