So little physical progress to date BUT against the original jobs list lets see....
Gearbox rebuilt awaiting my instruction as to whether we go with the LSD, should know by the end of this week (job dependant)
Brake upgrade (probably the Tarox vented with Milano aluminum calipers)
AP Discs sources completely by chance, awaiting spacers... these will be fitted post gearbox install.
Glass replaced with Plexan
Still to remove glass (job dependant)
Removal of various internals to save weight... door cars and mechanisms, heater matrix etc etc
Decided to retain heater matrix, looking to relocate battery internal, central & low down... doorcards and winding mechanism will be done when glass is replaced.
Re sight the fuel pump
Still deciding on this, possibly will be sighted in a fabricated box in the cabin, no real other alternative site that I can see, the pump is a gravity fed facet (block type)... may switch to a suction type.
Possible ducting for the front brakes
I have the order made out (job dependant) hopefully this can go ahead.
Keep a lookout for 13 x 8 4x98pcd wheels
Another chance find, a set of Ronal 13 x 7j (4x98) now awaiting fresh rubber.
What's been added to the list.....
Well the ANSA manifold was another chance find, this will (job dependant) be used as a template to make my race manifold with a slightly bigger bore (tba).
Looking at the possibility of slight body mod's, similar to period racing sud's/sprint's, I have a top notch bodyshop guy from poland who is keen to do the work at a good rate... finished in white it would be stunning (job dependant).
Also the whole brake system needs to be addressed... re plumb the bias valve and upgrade to the larger bore master cylinder.
More to come... i really cant wait to do some long winter nights once i have some cash to throw at the Sprint.
