right guys, more news hot off the press
the "other" venue/date etc i had asked about has finally been confirmed so i can now tell you, i think it may be a far better bet for us all so everyone
will be ok to get in.
i had chatted with bryan alexander about where/when we could get a meet together asking him if he had any ideas, he thought the auto italia day was great in principal but thought we would struggle to get an area of any size, which has proved to be the case
so he says "why don't we incorporate it into next years MITCAR show"
now as you all probably know bryan is very
keen on all things alfa, with a soft spot for the boxer cars and being the secretary for the alfasud register he knows most of the cars/owners already.
to say he is keen to have us all is an understatement
the venue for next year is a fabulous one, well done to bryan for pulling it off
Chatsworth house official website
chatsworth house is one of the finest country houses in the country, and has plenty of space for us all and more
also been there a few times myself, but mainly on stages of the old RAC rally
only once more in the summer time so should be great
the date is sunday august 8.
hope that isn't the weekend that melv gets married

for the guys travelling from Holland then Hull would be an easy UK destination for you
i know it is a bit further north for some, but
1/ it is more central for everyone
2/ the extra couple of months would be a great help for some of you who still have work to do
3/ bryans' enthusiasm for the event is a real plus. we have been given AS MUCH SPACE AS WE NEED
4/ bryan will make sure the event goes smoothly from his years of experience in making the MITCAR days great days, without us worrying over the details we would most likely overlook
5/ cars like laurens, eddies, phils which are not exactly standard alfa will be more than welcome
and any arnas that want to join in will also get a look in
but whatever, like pud i will be doing both events
i just feel the MITCAR date would suit our needs better
