Regarding the roof line rubber strips on the Sprint that goes from front to back just above the top of the doors and above the rear windows. Is it best to fit these first and the steel strips after or fit the steel strips first and the rubbers after?
I've put on the steel strips on the nearside first and I'm finding it hard to get the rubber fully in place. I can get about five inches of it in ok and after that, norfolk and chance
Are you trying to push the rubber along the groove? I found it best to push the back of the rubber into the groove, then ease the front (Facing the side of the car) into the groove using a blunt screwdriver working along the length - I don't think it makes much difference if the roof rain strip is in place or not.
Just out of interest. How far do the seals go back? Do they fit right upto the tail end of the roofline steel strip?
I didn't take these off so I don't know where abouts they finish as they don't seem long enough to go right back, so may have to try and stretch them a little bit.
