If anyone has any pictures of WORKING and properly installed drum brake system (the interior with brake shoes and all the bits), I would love to see them!
I just installed new drums, shoes and bearings to my 33 and am having a bit of troubles with the hand brake.
I adjusted the inside-drum adjust system so tight that the shoes hit the drums slightly (I was told to do it like so), but still I have to tighten the handbrake adjust system inside the car to almost to the end for hand brake to work!
The lever where the hand brake cable is attached to in the drum end seems to be somehow in the wrong position, as the leverage point doesn't sit right against the adjustment "rod" ... You really have to pull the handbrake to get the shoes moving even a bit!
The parts are installed as they were before I started it, but knowing the previous owner, I'm not 100% he got them right in the first place (as he said he had changed the brake shoes)
I also got a workshop manual (the 2000+ page one) but the picture for the brakes are different, as it misses the adjustment system completely and has some sort of spring-driven system in the bottom of the lever
Any help appreciated
