33 series 3 rpm dial

Hello proud Alfa owners. The tach on my 33 1.3 I.E. sort of falls asleep. It doesn't happen too often but when it does, it stays around the 2000 rpm line when it should really indicate 3000. I only noticed it when going at a constant speed, and after stopping at a traffic light and then starting off it seems to work OK again. Looks like a strange problem. Hope it's not related to the ECU. Anyone else encounter this? I'm really wishing it's just a bad contact or something.

PS: I finally made the headlight upgrade. Installed Phillips UV " Rally" 90/100 watt bulbs. Made a SIGNIFICANT difference...I can see the light...

No relay or thicker gauge cable, just a bulb swap, works great, no cables or fuses melting
