i bought a 1.5 twin carb engine of a dude who had just fitted the ie to his 33 wagon
(dunno what you guys think but i think the wagon is pretty funky)
he said it was dead easy he was going to get a twin carb 1.7 but the ie was cheap and pretty easy, there are pro's and cons to each
carb engines sound very nice they have a bit more go and you can play around with it yourself easily,
as for the ie it is more economical and apparemtly more reliable, there is a dude from melnourne on these formums who thinks they are a reall good conversion option, and i dare say he's right, for legalities you may have to upgrade the brakes coz the 1.7 33's had better brakes than the 1.5's and 1.3's and so on,
the hubs are the same on all the 1.7's but the 16v has better rotors,
ever thought of a 16v?, i believe a guy here in sydney is fitting one to his sud?
