What you have will suffice.
for road i would stick with 195 50 15, i have tried 14, 15 and 16.
The brakes on the 33 are crap, i had red dot 40 or 60 slot disks with race pads, even then they were only as good as another cars standard setup but much improved. Have a search for bigger brakes in this forum for options.
for handeling you can change the rear turret top spring rubber for a thinner one, making the rear sit lower. For the front you can use a sud bottom spring pan, as long as you have the correct strut, which is deeper and makes the car sit lower. You will have to then play around with the strut to get the camber sorted or your tyres will last about 2 months.
Tyre pressures make a lot of difference as well, you need about 3 psi difference from front to rear, front being higher, start with 35 psi front and work down to see what you like, this will open up a tin of worms with other peoples point of views lol.
Upgrading what you have becomes expensive and tricky, solid top mounts, quick rack, coil overs, rose joints, but then wont be as forgiving for road use.
