I put my sud through an MOT on Tuesday which it passed with flying colours after a two year lay-off.
On the way back from the MOT I had to stop to let a car turn right.
It was a lovely sunny, dry day, I was on a deserted country road and so I thought the only decent thing was to give it a welly full of right boot.
Other than the glorious sound of the motor winding around to the red line, I experienced
what I would describe as axle tramp (having owned rwd escorts) but from the front wheels.
I can't remember this happening before either on the road or on track.
My sud is an ex class F racer, so it very stiff, very low and no has no front anti-roll bar.
The car handles like a dream - no understeer, no torque steer, pin point steering but I am wondering if the lack of an anti-roll bar affects suspension control and allows this oscillating effect.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Can It be rectified?
Is it something I will have to live with?
Could it be eliminated by - and is it possible to fit compression struts to the front suspension.
Am I just a nob who can't drive properly?
